Signalrunners "Meet me in Montauk" (Above and Beyond Mix)
I have heard that this song itself was inspired by a line in the film entitled "Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind", which itself was such a catchy phrase that I had to investigate what it is all about, so I had to go around Google and read a summary of the film.
So, when I have read about it, it said that it is about a couple who forgets each other, and this one guy subjected himself to a machine which should help him to delete all the painful memories of his beloved from his mind, because he doesn't want to suffer from the lovesickness that befalls everyone after they get seperated. But, during the process of deleting every memory of his beloved Clementine, he realizes that the meories he has with her are too precious to simply forget them, so he tries to hide her in his mind on other places, like in his childhood as well.
A Machine which lets you forget your memories of someone? This sounds like Juudai from YuGiOh GX, who hasn't forgotten about Yubel out of free will, but who was subjected to a machine to help him forget about Yubel by his parents (as explained in episode 153 )
So, my thought for this picture was to draw the scene before the last memory of Yubel fades from Juudai's mind, this last memory occuring in his childhood. As Yubel fades away because Juudai loses his last memories of her, she whispers to him that they will meet again in the Isekai (the dimension into which the Duel Academia suddenly teleported)
I seriously wanted to draw kid!Juudai once, and ... I never was good with drawing children, so I am rather happy with the result for now.
I also love Yubel's expression there, She looks so sad.
This is a "Work in Progress" and what you see here thus not a finished piece as such.
So, this will go to scraps later on.
....I seriously need to watch this movie, I think. <.<

I like this picture.... it's not like the typical "oh we love each other equally and mutually; let's hug and kiss." type picture... there's conflict and inner pain! Which, from what I gathered from the bits of the show I watched, is more accurate in portraying how these two characters actually feel.
